Description: Originally prototyped in 2144, this model of vessel was set to fill the role of support for the larger, more valuable cruisers that were being needed to fill the System's Alliance fleets, thus, very little of it's technology was ground-breaking or pushing of what could be done. In fact, most of the technology used in the Gettysburg-Class, was already being fielded in other Alliance vessels of various sizes, the only difference being it was used in a frigate rather than a cruiser. When the First Contact War broke out, these vessels often found themselves quickly being torn apart during combat, because of the relatively unimpressive technology. In fact, half of the Shanxi garrison at the time was comprised of these light vessels, most of which were in the middle of a layover between postings. Almost right after the war, the laying of new hull units for these vessels was stopped, and the ones being built were to be finished, resulting in only 134 of these vessels to be produced in it's lifetime, the production life extended due to resources being devoted to other, more modern and material intensive, designs. Now the surviving 34 models rest in mothball or scrapyards waiting for their final rest.

Advantages:
-A quickly built, easily repaired and supplied vessel, even for it's time.
-Due to it's armaments, this vessel had excellent range when compared to other human frigate models of the time.
-Easily upgradable, due to the modular design originally put in place in it for long term military service, prior to the First Contact War.

Disadvantages:
-A quickly built, easily repaired and supplied vessel, that oft only required one or two decent hits to be knocked completely out of commission during combat
-Despite this range advantage, the fact the ship had almost NO close quarters systems would quickly lead attacks to enter knife-fight ranges with this vessel
-This ship gained a reputation among Turians as the 'Space-worthy coffin of Humanity', with a 75% death rate during the First Contact War, totaling 100 vessels lost with all hands.
-Small number remaining in existence

Used in Operations:

Fleet supports for Alliance Forces 2148-2157
Garrison of Shanxi during First Battle of Shanxi 2156
Supply shuttles for various fleet postings 2156-2163
34 [Thirty-four] models decommissioned in 2163, 16 [Sixteen] of which remain 'whole' enough to be considered ships.
///Unofficial/// Reports indicate the Blood Eagle Brigade have managed to acquire 4 [Four] of the remaining 16 [Sixteen].
